Large village pub with several bar areas and popular large enclosed garden.

Built in 1936 and was originally a Wethered pub. Won the pub of the year category in the 2020 Visit England Awards for Excellence. The pub re-opened following the acquisition by two locals on 16 December 2022 (after being closed since 1 August 2022). Major refurbishments were then undertaken from October 2023 until March 2024, involving a very high quality internal revamp of the bar areas, extending the bar space and building a new extended kitchen. There are four integrated bar areas. The original drinking bar area is retained and is equipped to show major sporting events. The newly extended "Blue Bar" is suitable for eating and drinking and connects with the original dining area. French windows open onto the outside "Hound Bar" in the enclosed garden, which has its own outdoor bar and is ideal in decent weather for families and pets.

It remains a popular pub located at the heart of this riverside village. Convenient for the Henley Regatta Railway Line and with four en-suite rooms, and an ideal stop for walkers on the Thames Path. It is also very popular with diners; the high-end pub classics menu only uses fresh seasonal ingredients from local suppliers. The attractive, well-planted large enclosed garden has a children's play area and hosts regular summer barbecues.

Four cask-conditioned ales are served, with Rebellion IPA and Loddon Hoppit being the regular ales. The other ales are usually seasonal offerings also from Rebellion or sometimes from Loddon.

A no-fee bookable meeting/function/private dining room, for up to around 20 people, was introduced in December 2024. This is formed by closing the trifold doors to partition off the section at the end of the main dining area.
