See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Reopened on or about Sunday 17 September 2023 having been temporarily closed on Sunday 6 August 2023 while Brakspear sought a new tenant.

17th-century pub is built in brick and flint and is located in the centre of the village. The adjoining barn has been converted to a restaurant and four en-suite bedrooms. The original part of the pub comprises three separate areas with low beams a real fire and sofas and benches with plenty of cushions and newspapers to read. The Ridgeway Path passes right by the pub and the Thames is less than 1/2 a mile away. The pub is closed on Mondays, except for Bank Holidays.
