Reopened as the Plough Shiplake on 9 December 2022 after being closed for three years. The interior has undergone a lavish refurbishment, with the original bar area being removed and a new bar installed at the right-hand end. The remainder is laid out as a lounge and dining area. There is also a new private dining room upstairs. The overall feel is now of a classy, contemporary, yet very cosy and comfortable restaurant.

There is no real ale, but local beers are available in keg form. Although customers can just have a drink in the small bar area, the Plough is really now a high-end restaurant.
