Popular, comfortable pub, with focus on good quality home-cooked food.

A smart but small establishment with a large car park. There are two distinct drinking and dining areas around the bar and a separate large conservatory. A pleasant interior with wood panelling, low beams, quarry-tiled floors and a real fire opposite the small bar. A Loddon beer is always featured, making this the closest outlet to the brewery which is less than a mile north of the pub. Occasionally, a seasonal Loddon beer, such as Hocus Pocus, may feature.

The pub is popular for group bookings, particularly for funeral receptions, but also for weddings, birthdays and other private parties. This includes barbeques during the warmer months. The pub is also available to be booked for private functions on Mondays and Tuesday & Wednesday evenings. The conservatory can hold up to 30 guests, but for larger parties it is possible to hire the whole pub for exclusive use.

There is an attractive enclosed garden at the rear, partly laid to lawn with mature planted borders and partly laid as patio.
