Grade II-listed village inn built as two cottages in about 1550 with a steeply raked thatched roof that extends past the first-floor windows. Overlooks the cricket green in this quintessential English village much featured in Midsomer Murders and many other films.

Reopened with new tenants on 12 July 2024 having been temporarily closed on 26 March 2024 while Brakspear sought a new tenant.

There are separate dining and sitting areas opening off the main bar, a large patio with tables in the front and garden at the back.
