Closed on 25 September 2024 when a forfeiture notice was placed on the property. It reopened in May 2025 as Drayton Dosa Spices - an Indian restaurant.

The pub's website was being updated (as at 1 October 2024): "Sorry, we're doing some work on the site, Thank you for being patient. We are doing some work on the site and will be back shortly.". As at 8 November 2025 the former website, Facebook page and Instagram are not available.

Former description: Lovely cosy interior with two front rooms and a small dining area to the rear which leads on to the garden. Furnished with antique chairs and tables and featuring framed prints of horse racing and other traditional sports. Two beers available, one usually Bass, and the other selected from Dayla's guest list. The pub is active in the county Aunt Sally League competing with many other local pub teams.

It was family friendly, had a garden, provided food lunchtimes and evenings, had a separate bar, Aunt Sally was played, had a smoking area, provided WiFi, Sports Tv and was dog friendly.
