Pub news:

- The Red Lion, Britwell Salome, has changed hands and is now being run by Liaan (previously of the George, Dorchester).
- The Three Horseshoes, Benson re-opened on 2nd September for drinks only for now.
- The George Hotel in Dorchester is expected to re-open on the 12th September following a multi-million pound refurbishment. The hotel is now part of the Coaching Inns group which is owned by Red Cat Inns.
- Renovation work is being carried out to the Bell, Crowmarsh. A staff recruiting fair for the Bell was recently held in Greene King's neighbouring pub, the Boathouse. The pub is due to re-open on the 17th September.
- The Ferryboat, Whitchurch closed on 21 June. Owners Heineken Star have some matters that need to be cleared up before it can reopen.
- The Baskerville, Lower Shiplake closed on 01 August. Sadly the tenant said that the business just isn’t viable. It is believed that the owner is a local consortium.
- The reopening of the Plough (ex-Plowden Arms), Shiplake, has slipped to the autumn.
