Pub news:
- After lying closed up since March 2020, The Bell in Crowmarsh is due to re-open imminently. The whole pub interior has undergone a significant renovation and the beer garden has been re-landscaped and fitted out with new play equipment. The Greene King-owned pub will become one of the brewery's Pub & Kitchen venues where there is a focus on the food offering.
- The George Hotel in Dorchester has re-opened following a multi-million pound refurbishment. The hotel is now part of the Coaching Inns group which is owned by Red Cat Inns.
- The Milton Gate in Didcot was a Harvester, but is soon to reopen as a Miller & Carter Steakhouse restaurant. This means a higher focus on the food but probably no real ale.
- The Bird in Hand, Sonning Common, will reopen in early October.
- The Fat Fox in Watlington is likely to close soon; if is hasn’t already. It is being advertised by Brakspear.
- Brakspear is also advertising the Golden Ball at Lower Assendon
- The Old Post Office in Wallingford has a new manager.
