It is with much regret CAMRA South Oxfordshire has had to pull out of running the Festival of Ales beer tent at the Woodcote Rally this year.

We were very disappointed and surprised to find out that the Rally has arranged for an additional licensed bar this year, that competes with much of our offering in terms of the drinks that will be sold. Unfortunately, this has a large impact on our business plan and we cannot take the risk with CAMRA’s finances.

This is all the more disappointing as CAMRA has been running the bar at Woodcote Rally very successfully for over 45 years, and through the hard work and efforts of many volunteer CAMRA members, we have made donations totalling an estimated £150,000 which has gone towards supporting many local groups and good causes.

We thank all our volunteers who had already signed up to help again at this year’s event. Hopefully we will be able to return in 2025, and we look forward to having positive discussions with the Rally in good time.
