Latest news - 7th June 2023
The Woodcote Rally on 8th/9th July is getting closer and the South Oxfordshire Branch of CAMRA is starting to finalise the fantastic line-up of cask beers and ciders to delight your taste buds. We will have around 30 real ales from local brewers, plus half a dozen or so real ciders. Local breweries represented will include SOX, Amwell Springs, Loose Cannon, LoveBeer, Loddon, XT, White Horse, Renegade, Stardust and Indigenous, amongst others. We also expect a few rarities, including cask ales from Ridgeway and the latest offering from the Dead Brewers' Society. These beers will be the best tasting beer you will likely get anywhere and will be freshly brewed, live and served in excellent condition straight from the cask.
On the cider front, we will be selling ciders, fruit ciders and perries from local producers including Tutt's Clump, Mr Whitehead's, BumbleBee and Seven Trees, a new venture based in Reading. We are the main licenced bar at the event and will also be selling lager, wines and soft drinks.
The overall event is a veteran transport rally with steam traction engines, vintage cars, but also arts & craft stalls, animal enclosures, a funfair, amusements, live music and multiple food pop-ups. More details are now up on the Woodcote Rally website, including information on purchasing advanced discounted entry tickets, which are £10 to the overall event for adults, £9 for over 60s and £5 for kids, for the Saturday and Sunday afternoon arena events. There is free car-parking. There is no additional entrance cost to the CAMRA Festival of Ales itself.
Woodcote Rally is a fantastic event for the whole family, and a great opportunity for CAMRA to promote our exceptional local beers.
