Many congratulations to Corinne, husband Mouse (pictured, together with our Chairman Graham Hards), and all of the staff at the Red Lion, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, who have been awarded our branch Pub of the Season for Autumn.

Corinne and Mouse, took over the pub in February 2020, just weeks before the first lockdown. From Day 1 both have remained resourceful and entrepreneurial and have created one of the most hospitable and welcoming pubs in the branch area, and a true community asset.

As well as an ever-changing seasonal food menu, four cask ales in excellent condition are usually available, with Loddon’s Hullaballoo, Amwell Springs’ Stay Jammy and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord always available, plus a guest ale predominately from local breweries such as Amwell Springs Brewery Co., Loose Cannon Brewery and Vale Brewery.
